Nigeria - the world's 7th most populous country, ranked Africa's number 1 producer of crude oil, ranked number 8 on OPEC's list but ironically ranked 152 in human capital development yet ranked 2nd in the world's happiest countries list, is sitting on a keg of gun power that may erupt at any time.  The onslaught on Christians by the Islamic sect called Boko Haram has reached a feverish level as Christians in the predominantly muslim Northern region, have taken their destiny in their own hands.  The times are evil as the Boko Haram sect is determined to turn Nigeria into an islamic state.   EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Following the removal of subsidy on PMS on the 1st day of January, 2012 by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the attendant spontaneous social and political upheavals that greeted the policy, the House of Representatives in an Emergency Session on the 8th of January, 2012 set up an Ad-hoc Committee to verify and determine the actual subsidy requirements and monitor the implementation of the subsidy regime in Nigeria. The Federal Government had informed the nation of its inability to continue to pump endless amount of money into the seemingly bottomless pit that was referred to as petroleum products subsidy.
