Boko Haram: Gen Adrew Azazi wasn't the problem after all.

Hardly any day passes that we don't wake up to hear or read of Boko Haram's bombing of churches mosques, market, cars, offices and homes, worst still killing and maiming of hundreds of innocent women, men and children.

Few days ago,  PGEJ, called on religious leaders to pray for peace and unity of the country even as he decried the daily newspaper headlines that people wake up to read - Boko Haram bomb, here and there.

This is not only worrisome even as I can't stop asking myself: what exactly does Boko Haram want? Obviously Gen. Azazi wasn't the problem after all. Prior to his removal, every attack by Boko Haram was blamed on the NSA, with many critics calling for his head as though he is the Police, Army, SSS, etc.
They sold the dummy that the position of the NSA was a "birthright" of the Northern Oligarchy, so putting one of their  own there will be good enough appeasement. Today, we know differently. It was simply a ploy to edge out one of our own.

PGEJ, succumbed to the pressure thus sacrificed Gen Azazi  for the make-believe appeasement of the religious sect. So, in came Rtd. Col. Sambo Dasuki. Contrary to the believe that once one of their own was appointed NSA, Boko Haram's terrorism will be a thing of the past, the worst has happened since then. And ironically, this same group of people who carried out all forms of malicious campaign  to get PGEJ to sack Azazi have gone mum since Col. Dasuki took over the office of the NSA.
Boko Haram's insurgence and attacks have being on the increase and even gotten worst;  but none of this people have seen Dasuki as a failure let alone call for his sack. Different strokes for different folks I guess eh?

Obviously, the phantom cease-fire declared recently by BH is just to hoodwink the Government to relax the security forces against them while they plan and execute more attacks on defenceless citizens as we have witnessed lately. Is there truly a behind the scene mediation going on between Boko Haram and the Federal Government? Why then is the faceless sect still launching daily attacks on innocent people? How is it that the sect is overpowering the security apparatus of the State?

Needless restating the obvious because we now know Gen Azazi was and is not Boko Haram's problem after all. The indisputable fact is:  Boko Haram and her sponsors are simply out to bring down the Government of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Much as PGEJ would want to be on the right side of history in the way he handled the Boko Haram menace, I am worried that the prescription so far administered in curbing this cankerworm has been ineffective as innocent citizens are bombed and killed on daily basis.
Hindsight 20-20, perhaps Mr. President shouldn't have sacked Gen. Azazi  in the first place. Perhaps the President should have stood his ground over Gen. Andrew Azazi remaining as NSA the same way he is sticking out his neck today for the Orubebe's and Diezani's of this world - NOT IJAW NATION.

As a people (Ijaw Nation),  we must not rest on our oars simply because we have the Presidency. We must continue the struggle albeit intelligently and non-violently until we achieve total emancipation and self determination because this contraption is simply not working in our favour.

God bless Ijaw Nation.
